Jesus, speaking to Pilate said,
“For this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth
listens to me.” Jn 18:37
Jesus clearly states, the reason that he was born and came into the world was to reveal truth. “Why
is truth necessary?” Jesus said…
“If
you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then
you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Jn
8:31-32
Christ is the power of God, commission to set all who follow God’s truth free. Christ
is the divine power who comes and resides in those who desirer Him, the Truth…
On that day you will realize
that I am in my Father, and you are in
me, and I am in you. Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he
will
obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to
him
and make our home with him.
Jn 14:20-23
It is when the Father who is indwelling
the Son enters into the heart of a person that all of God’s fullness and all of his promises are now completed in man
through Christ Jesus who is now God’s Amen.
We find a church in Revelation called, Laodicea. It is an assembling of people who are coming
together in the name of Jesus, but do not realize that they do not have the truth necessary to set them free.
"To the angel
of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation.
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm
- neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not
need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I
counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your
shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest,
and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat
with him, and he with me. Rev 3:14-20
To alter God’s truth is to change his desired end.
